A stranger sits across from the protagonist and starts talking as if they've known each other for years-sharing intimate memories, private fears, and personal moments the protagonist has never spoken aloud.
Some memories the protagonist recognizes.
Some they've forgotten.
And some... they're sure never happened.
But the stranger insists every word is true.
The more the protagonist pushes back, the more the stranger reveals-childhood secrets, future events, and a version of the protagonist's life that doesn't match the one they remember. When pressed about how they know so much, the stranger simply says:
"You taught me everything."
Soon, cracks open in the protagonist's world:
• photographs change to include unfamiliar people
• loved ones recall past events differently
• mirrors reflect expressions the protagonist isn't making
• the stranger appears in places they shouldn't know about
• journals update with entries the protagonist never wrote
As reality unravels, one terrifying possibility becomes clear:
The stranger may be the person the protagonist used to be.
Or the person they're supposed to become.
Or someone who lived the protagonist's life in another version of reality-and wants it back.
