Jeannine Vegh, M.A., is an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice, in Columbus, Ohio. She grew up in Ohio but accomplished all her education and training in California, where she lived for 30 years. It was there that she received her graduate degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Somatic Psychology, from John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill (now known as National University). Previously, she had received two undergraduate degrees. This includes a Bachelor of Arts from Antioch University in Santa Barbara and an Associate of Arts from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
Ms. Vegh has worked in the field of psychotherapy or social work since 1998. For eight years, she worked for Children's Protective Services in Alameda County California. She returned to Ohio in 2010 and opened her private practice, Transformative Psychotherapy, LLC in 2012. Here, Ms. Vegh began to define her specialties for her practice by studying symptom patterns and observing somatic cues from the clients she began to treat. As a result, she specializes in working with couples, using the Gottman Method Couples Therapy treatment model. With individuals, she specializes in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, and she also works with Survivors of Narcissists.
Ms. Vegh's work, as a speaker and a psychotherapist, has included both civilian and military populations. Her speaking engagements have been on the topics of Employee Assistance Program Orientation, Stress, Working with Employees with PTSD, Survivors of Narcissists, Military Culture, and Military and Family Life Counselor Orientation.
Ms. Vegh resides in Ohio, with her partner Paul, and has run a private practice as a psychotherapist for more than 13 years.
