The writer was born and grew up in a culture where many potential candidates for marriage have married without any pre-marital counseling to prepare them for a journey such as life-threatening if one is without knowledge or pre-course for the death do us part, marriage institution. Being a victim of African parents cultural marriage where the rules of governance lies squarely in the hands of husband and not the woman, he chose to be a role model of change against the will that affects gender equality and functional role-play discussion and plan by parties involved. He thought pre-marital counseling courses are worth to avoid "The Sunday marriage, Saturday divorce", the philosophy of getting into marriage and to sever it at will affecting women and children or marriage life today. His desire is to help candidates see first the significance of the institution and secondly, that the participants (Both married and those wishing to) will by their own volition decide and commit to God's will concerning marriage.
