To navigate the treacherous "Shortcuts"-chaotic wormholes that tear through the fabric of reality-Elias Thorne must form a neural bond with the station's AI, "The Shepherd". As Elias loses himself in the data stream to become the Architect, and Wei physically fuses with the ship's core to become a living conduit, the crew discovers a chilling truth about their mission.
