Louise Soraya Black is English and Iranian and has lived all over the world. She worked as a lawyer in London for 7 years before publishing her debut novel, Pomegranate Sky which won the inaugural Virginia Prize in 2009. Her third novel , Darkness Falls in Jakarta was published to acclaim in 2024 She lives with her family in Ibiza.
