I am Bede Chromwell, writer, philosopher, artist, and lover of several very self-indulgent subgenres of life. My obsessions (and I hope yours) take the form of romantic and erotic fiction featuring daunting men and otherworldly beings, the philosophy of sex, and frogs. The writing found here often trudges into the world of dark fantasy, the supernatural, the obsessive, and the intense side of love.

I imagine if you're here, you also love to imagine yourself--or whoever--whisked away into world of magic, drama, and love, both in familiar contexts and in our strangest, most obscure fantasies. Chased through the woods by a ghostly lover, or taken away by the hands of a possessive bride groom, men are the hunters and their favorite prey is you.

My work heavily features reader-insert style fiction, centering on female leads, though occasionally male or gender neutral characters may be the stars. Books and short stories both make a home in the Toadstool Mansion, and though these stories may get dark at times, the intention is for everyone to enjoy themselves. So enjoy!
