Three lost travellers meet at a ruined village on the edge of time, escaping a world on a collision course with destruction. Innkeeper Demos offers them a choice: to walk away into the sea of oblivion or return to their earthly existence with all its challenges and pains. Ginny Lee, a politician in the capitalist democracy of Sidion, battles political rivals and addiction as she strives to make a difference in her community. Daizin Keberin, a loyal communist in Anoeth, faces betrayal and heartbreak as she navigates the harsh realities of her homeland. Astell Irva, a former drug runner in the theocracy of Ouslau, seeks redemption through service and uncovers corruption. As their paths intertwine, they must rise above their struggles to save what's left of the world. Will they find the strength to overcome their pasts and change the future? Or will their choices leave the world to self-destruct?

Autorenporträt
Author Maggie Shaw creates her stories from her many and varied life experiences. A teenage runaway who made good before her recent autistic spectrum disorder diagnosis, Maggie writes as one who has walked the walk in recovery and spiritual development. Her degrees in science, divinity and church music, and her career as a Mental Health Dietitian, give a solid framework to the exciting adventure stories she loves to tell. The Scottish hills and Lakeland fells where her forebears farmed often feature as landscapes in her work. Maggie is also a church musician, composer and songwriter, and the stories she writes inspire many of her songs. This is the thirteenth book Maggie has published through micropublisher Eregendal. Her music and short stories have been broadcast by Radio Carlisle, Cat Radio, and Red Shift Radio; and she has contributed articles to The St Raphael's Guild Chrism, The Church of England Newspaper, and Soul and Spirit Magazine. Online, Maggie also publishes through ArtSwarm, YouTube, SoundCloud, Facebook and the Eregendal website www.eregendal.com. Maggie lives in Cheshire with her husband Alan and their cat, Tarby.
