Institutions have hollowed, meaning has thinned, and the self has become both sovereign and stranded.

Yet within this unraveling lies the seed of renewal. The Awakening is not just a reactionit is a renaissance. A return to inner life. A rediscovery of connection, purpose, and the sacred. It is the moment when the Sleeper stirs, and the possibility of transformation begins.

Opposing this awakening is Velora, a shadowy presence in the narrative who seeks to erase memory itself. Her mission is not destruction, but preservationof illusion, of control, of the status quo. By severing people from their past, she ensures they remain trapped in a cycle of repetition: new actors, same rules; new paradigms, same controls. In her world, forgetting is a form of survivalbut also enslavement. Her efforts to suppress memory are a direct attempt to prevent the Turning, to keep the Sleeper sedated and the system intact.
