This trip was originally planned for 2019, but as many people experienced, the onset of Covid interrupted our plans. We decided to combine this with attending the Frida Kahlo Exhibit in Chicago. We have had the good fortune of experiencing a number of incredible trips together, so when Scott posed the idea of driving the entire Route 66, I jumped at the chance for another trip with the love of my life and my coveted companion, Frida. We always have so much fun together on road trips. This book describes our trek from Pennsylvania through Route 66 and back, all the while dragging our friend, Frida with us. To set the stage, we are not a couple that plans hotel stays and we do not travel by a clock. We plan places we would like to check out and visit, but we rarely make hotel reservations.
