Autorenporträt

Margot ten Pas is in 1967 in Oostenrijk geboren. Enkele weken na haar geboorte heeft haar moeder haar ter adoptie afgestaan en met zeven maanden is ze door Nederlandse ouders geadopteerd. Ze groeide op in Wierden waar ze een zorgeloze en sportieve jeugd genoot. Na de middelbare school koos ze voor de studie toegepaste onderwijskunde aan de toen nog TH Twente. Voor haar stage en latere werk ging ze naar Airbus in Toulouse, in het zuiden van Frankrijk, waar ze werkte aan de ontwikkeling van cursusmateriaal voor computerondersteunend onderwijs. Daar leerde zij haar latere echtgenoot kennen met wie ze twee zonen kreeg. Toen de jongste vier was, zegde Margot haar baan op om fulltime moeder te kunnen zijn. Nadat beide jongens het ouderlijk nest verlaten hadden, verhuisde ze naar een dorpje aan de voet van de Pyreneeën. Daar vond Margot de rust in haar hoofd om van haar levensverhaal haar levenswerk te maken. Triade is haar debuutroman.
