Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901) war ein bedeutender italienischer Komponist der Romantik, bekannt für seine Opern. Er schrieb Meisterwerke wie "La Traviata", "Aida" und "Rigoletto", die bis heute weltweit aufgeführt werden. Verdi verband dramatische Handlung mit eingängiger Musik und starkem Ausdruck.
