International Tagore Awardee poet Dr Ratan Bhattacharjee D.Litt is a former Affiliate Faculty Virginia Commonwealth University & and Associate Professor and Ex-Head PG English Dum Dum Motijheel College. At present he is the Founder President of Kolkata Indian American Society.He is also an APJ Abdul Kalam Awardee 2023 multilingual Columnist and his short story collection Six Feet Distance : Looking Down to Lockdown published from Bloomington USA is the best seller and Book of the Year Award 2025 in the Kolkata Literary Festival . For his Oleander Blooms he is called the "Oleander Poet". His Ballad of the Bleeding Bubbles is translated into Assamese as Raktata Burburanir Malita. He won Bhanu Singh Award (2023)from Global Nation Bangladesh, International Education Excellence Award 2023 & Banga Shrestha Samman 2024. He is the Editor in Chief Literary Confluence and Global Musings. He has to his credit over 3000 articles published in Indian National Dailies and books on British and American literature including Francis Scott Fitzgerald (Partridge) Theodore Dreiser (IIP) Our Time Revisited (IIP 2025) on World Literature and he taught for four decades in colleges and Universities in India and abroad.
