My name is Elaine (Simoes) Ribeiro. I am not an author by trade but I was compelled to write this book on behalf of my father's family who migrated from the Azore Islands. I wanted to shine a positive light on immigration and how it is possible to live out your dreams in this great country-America. This family's undeniable work ethic, faith in God and unconditional commitment to family has created a ripple effect throughout generations. I have recently retired as a dental hygienist of 30 years to care for my grandchildren. This book will be a gift from me to them to continue to inspire these rare traits in generations to come.
