Autorenporträt
Dr. Shwe Hein, also known as Sui Hingz, is a Burmese scholar, entrepreneur, and lifelong advocate for democracy, justice, and development. Born in the hills of Chin State, Myanmar, he rose from humble beginnings to become a student leader in the historic 1988 pro-democracy uprising.

After enduring imprisonment, exile, and years of statelessness, Dr. Hein rebuilt his life across Asiaworking as a laborer, teacher, translator, and policy advisor. He earned advanced degrees including a Ph.D., and later served as the CEO of Myanmar's first successful Special Economic Zone (Thilawa SEZ). His leadership has been recognized across Southeast Asia and beyond, especially for his role in promoting foreign investment, sustainable development, and federal democratic reform.

He is also the founder of various community organizations, president of the Chin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and an ordained church leader. His life and work bridge activism, faith, and public service.

Dr. Hein is the author of Unbroken: The Life Journey of Dr. Shwe Hein and Resilient Myanmar and Chin State Development Master Plan (20252045), Thilawa Special Economic Zone and Myanmar's Economic Prospects (2021). His voice continues to inspire exiles, youth, and freedom-seekers across the world.
