Autorenporträt
Birgit Clemens, geb. Endruhn, ist 1951 in Timmendorfer Strand geboren und hat in Freiburg im Breisgau sowie später in Kiel Romanistik und Geografie studiert. Nach dem Examen war sie 45 Jahre lang als engagierte Lehrerin in einer weiterführenden Schule tätig, wo sie psychologische Fertigkeiten erlernte, und übernahm die Leitung des DAZ-Zentrums in Bad Schwartau. Sie hat eine Tochter. 2019 verstarb ihr Ehemann nach langer Krankheit, den sie über viele Jahre bis zu seinem Tod begleitet hatte. Als Clemens 4 Jahre später auf ihr Flugticket nach Südamerika wartete, um dort im Rahmen der Entwicklungshilfe zu arbeiten, lernte sie ihren zukünftigen Partner kennen, wegen dem sich ganz unerwartet ein "warmer Regen im Winter" über sie ergoss. Wenn sie nicht gerade Romane schreibt, reist und tanzt sie unheimlich gerne oder hört Musik. Heute lebt die Autorin glücklich mit ihrem Partner an der Ostsee. Warmer Regen im Winter ist ihr Debütroman.
