Sherman wrote this book because he realized that many Christians were struggling with the same dilemma. This book aims to help both Christians and non-Christians free themselves from false teachings. It also provides guidance on how to rightly divide the word of truth, as referenced in 2 Timothy 2:15. Through study, Sherman began to appreciate that the entire bible is meant for Gentiles and all people. But, every scripture is not written about or directed specifically to us. The holy scriptures are divided into sections; some are for Jews. Others are for Gentiles. There is a clear distinction between the covenants of Law and Grace. The final destination for Gentiles is heaven, while the final destination for Jews is an earthly Kingdom intended specifically for them. The book was written to encourage and educate both Christians and non-Christians about the simplicity of God's plan for salvation and to help them recognize false teachings and misinformation that serve to complicate the plan of salvation.

Autorenporträt
Sherman has been a Christian for over 35 years and was always a faithful tither. He studied his Bible diligently and participated in mission work. Both locally and abroad. As a dedicated church member, he taught Sunday School and attended Sunday service 95% of the time. He was a Deacon for over 15 years. Throughout his Christian life, Sherman was given the impression that he could pick and choose the scriptures in the Bible to follow. He believed the four Gospels-Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John-were addressed to him and all other Christians. Because of this belief, he often struggled with Matthew 7:7-8's message: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." This was not his experience; thus, he frequently doubted his salvation. One day, while watching a sermon on television, Sherman learned that the four Gospels were directed to the "chosen people", the Jews. The minister provided several scriptures to support this assertion. This revelation completely transformed Sherman's understanding of the Bible and alleviated all doubts about his salvation.
