Produktbeschreibung
Father Christmas, Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Kris Kringle, Père Noël... he has many names but he knows them all, so you can call him as you wish, but this year you'll need to call him back, because he's gone!

With each passing year, more people claim that Christmas is merely an offensive celebration of materialism and nothing more, so Father Christmas has jumped sleigh and left us to it. Without him, 25th December is just another holiday, so grown-ups can work through it and children have nothing to look forward to.

With no collective festive season to join in with, everyone is slowly becoming disconnected and disenchanted. If Clara lets it continue, your Merry Christmas will fade away, and everyone will be tired and miserable each year instead. Father Christmas brings it all together, and little Clara can see how his absence is affecting those around her. She thinks she knows what to do, but she needs help: from her family, from her legacy, and from some new friends her father didn't even believe existed...

Visit England in the mid-1990s, where smartphones don't rule your life, TVs are as deep as they are wide, and Queen Elizabeth still addresses the nation. Then travel to somewhere beyond the Arctic Circle, where Jolly Old St. Nick knows your name and, more importantly, what you'd like for Christmas. If you ask for this book, you won't even need to think about it.

Follow Clara on her journey as she rides the tension between childhood wonder and adult indifference. Witness her emotional transformation as she discovers a unique perspective through the resistance she faces.

At 274 pages, What's Wrong With Father Christmas? can be read during the whole month of December, and since there are 24 chapters, another one can be opened and read each night during the month, along with your advent calendar. Both eBook and print versions are available.

Autorenporträt
C.P. Sharpe is a writer, editor, publisher and promoter of his own literary aspirations, which include books, articles, songs, videos, and the website to showcase them all. He is also a breather of air, a gazer at sunsets, a listener to loud music and a speaker to anyone who'll listen, provided you can hear him over the music.

His titles range from the offhand to the earnest, from the ironic to the straight talking (mostly) distilled from personal experiences good and bad, although he does intend that both his trials and his triumphs should always be expressed through the prism of the positive. (This doesn't always come across, but that is at least what he's aiming for.)

CP can be found somewhere near his website most days, and does occasionally swing by his FB, YT and IG accounts, but not his X one, because he can't be bothered to keep adding 'formerly Twitter' each time.

CP lives in (sometimes sunny) Hampshire in England, UK. He does like it there, but would like to leave more often, if only to enjoy coming back.
