Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) war ein italienischer Komponist und Geiger des Barock. Bekannt für Die vier Jahreszeiten, prägte er das Concerto und beeinflusste viele spätere Komponisten. Als "roter Priester" wegen seiner Haarfarbe bekannt, komponierte er zahlreiche Opern und geistliche Werke. Sein Einfluss lebt bis heute fort.
