May Kawaala is a Ugandan-born teacher of the Word, worshiper, and songwriter currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. She gave her life to Christ at 16 and has remained steadfast in her faith. Her musical journey began early, deeply influenced by her grandmother Florence Mponye and mother Rosemary Nabyonga Mponye Nalongo, who nurtured her talent.

May has released several impactful gospel albums, including Don't Be Worried About Tomorrow, Jesus Talala Talala (a children's song performed by her daughter Deborah Kisakye Mukisa and the Sunday School Choir, 1994), Imaana Ninziiza (Kinyarwanda for "God is good"), I Will Bless the Lord, Kiribakitya Obutagenda?, Nsiiza Erinnya Lyo Yesu, Gwe Katonda Owamanyi, Holy is Our God, and her latest, Ebiro Byo (These Are the Days) in 2024. She has also produced music videos, including Kiribakitya Obutagenda (2018), Holy (2024), Ebiro Byo (2024), and upcoming releases.

Beyond music, May is a prayer warrior, trainer, counselor, worship leader, and author. Her books include Secrets Behind Standing Marriages (First & Second Editions), Genuine Heart for Purposed Life, and Workable Marriage.

She serves as CEO of Angels of the World Families (AOWF) and the Pastor Benon Kawaala Foundation (PBKF). She also oversees Healing Outreach Ministries International (HOMI), founded by her late husband, Pastor Benon Kawaala, who passed away in June 2018. Despite his passing, she continues leading gospel tours across the U.S. (Texas, California, New Jersey, Washington, Maryland, Massachusetts) and in Africa (Tanzania, Kenya, Mwaza, Anjumani, and Uganda).

May is a pastor, church planter, and caregiver to orphans, widows, and the poor in Uganda and the U.S. A mother of four and grandmother, she is also a respected marriage speaker and counselor. Her ministry extends through TV programs on Bukedde TV1, Urban TV, and Gugudde TV in Uganda, spreading messages of faith, hope, and love.
