This book examines the seasonal changes in an earthworm's life, with references to how earthworms improve the soil. Using a poetry format lightens up the narrative and makes it more fun, creating a rhythm that children enjoy. There are also many places in the book that could stimulate discussions about nature and create a love of the outdoors.
