Prof. Dr. George-Sorin Tiplica is a senior specialist in Dermato-Venereology interested in the field of chronic wounds and sexually transmitted infections. He contributed to the development of the European Training Requirements for wound healing and of various teaching activities in wound management. He is the President of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) - Multidisciplinary Joint Committee (MJC) Wound Healing and the President of the European Association of Fellows in Wound Healing (EAFWH). He is the Head of Dermatology 2 Department at Colentina Hospital affiliated to Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. Prof. Tiplica is involved in clinical research and has authored a sizable number of impactful publications. Dr. Kirsi Isoherranen, MD, PhD, Specialist in Dermatology and Allergology, is an expert in wound care and skin cancers, currently working as the Head Physician in Helsinki Wound Healing Centre. Dr. Isoherranen is the President of EWMA (European Wound Management Association). Her interest in chronic wounds has led her to obtain a Special Competence in Wound Management in 2015 and to continuously be involved in scientific and research activities involving wound healing. Since 2020, Dr. Isoherranen has been involved in the teaching activities related to the EAFWH Programme entitled "European Fellows in Wound Healing". Dr. Isoherranen has research expertise in conducted clinical trials and scientific interests with numerous publications.
