Maisy West is a young, beautiful woman who comes from a prestigious white
family from Weston, Massachusetts and is attending Dartmouth College
in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Francisco Martinez is a young handsome Cuban man who has recently been
granted citizenship in the United States and is working for a construction
company in a nearby town.
The two are instantly drawn to each other when
they meet at the beginning of the summer of 1967. Before long,
they become lost in a deep, passionate love, forgetting the world
around them.....a world that is not accepting of interracial relationships.
Jonathan West, a highly respected surgeon, from Massachusetts General
