Lucia Valencia Carter has a bachelor's in Teaching English as a Second Language, from the Catholic University, in Santiago, Chile. She was an English teacher in her home country, for more than 20 years before coming to the US. where she began teaching Spanish. Here he noticed how difficult was for anybody to learn how to read and write Spanish. She has two sons and two daughters, and eight grandchildren. She is married to Donald Carter, and they live in North Carolina.
