Zeus and Iliad is a tale of love, myth, and destiny, set against the vibrant landscapes of Athens and a secluded island near Istanbul.

Iliad, a young woman of mixed Turkish and Greek heritage, has always believed she was ordinary-until fate proves otherwise. When Nyx, a brilliant chemical engineer and wealthy businessman, takes refuge on her island during a violent storm, their lives collide in ways neither could have imagined. But the tempest at sea is nothing compared to the storm about to consume them both.

Beneath the surface, forces older than time stir. Zeus, king of the gods, walks among mortals, harboring a dangerous secret-he is a god in love. Yet he is not alone. Prometheus, the cunning titan with jade-green eyes, longs for freedom-and he, too, is a god in love.

As Iliad and Nyx are drawn into a celestial battle of wills, they must confront an agonizing truth: they are pawns in a game as ancient as the gods themselves. Specters haunt their visions, secrets unravel, and love teeters between passion and destruction. In a world where myths are no longer myths-but reality- they must decide: can love defy the will of the divine?

A breathtaking fusion of Greek mythology, LGBTQ+ romance, and philosophical fantasy, Zeus and Iliad explores the fragile boundaries between gods and mortals, love and obsession, destiny and free will.

When myths awaken, can humans rewrite fate themselves?

Autorenporträt
Muge Direr is a Turkish-born author and former English lecturer whose stories blend emotional intensity with gripping psychological depth. Her novels dive beneath the surface, into haunted minds, brutal pasts, and impossible loves. Whether it's a dark assassin walking the streets of Rome or gods battling fate, her characters live on the edge of pain and poetry.

With degrees in English Language and Literature and from the Vocational School of Justice, and over two decades of teaching experience, Muge now devotes her time to crafting novels that challenge, unsettle, and resonate. Her work includes the Desert Rose trilogy, the mythic Zeus and Iliad, and the haunting new release, Koncolos Witches, a brutal, lyrical noir exploring trauma, survival, and the ghosts that never let go.

When not writing, Muge cares for 21 rescued dogs, raises her 7-year-old daughter, misses her beloved furry kids, Bruno, Whiskey, Chucky, and Lily, and travels, dreaming up her next story.
