The great poet Ali Al-Jarim recalls the memories of the Andalusian Islamic civilization on a historical narrative ground, where Al-Jarim weaves from Andalusia, that lost paradise, the threads of his narrative in terms of time, place, events, and people. The narrative came to tell us the life of the poet Ibn Zaydun in the Andalusian lands, who was destined to be the orator of "Walada bin Al-Mustakfi", and to work as a minister and writer for Ibn Jahwar, but the winds do not blow as the ships wish, for after Ibn Zaydun was the pampered youth of Andalusia, close to the palace, the circles of the spiteful and envious turned against him, so they began to plot conspiracies and intrigues against him, and problems rained down on him from all sides. Al-Jarim narrates this narrative in a distinctive artistic style, and an exquisite language that indicates his grasp of the language and his mastery of it.
