In this book, the writer deals with the character of Zubaida, who was known in history books as "Ghada Rashid" because she was unique in the charm of Sultan Al-Jarim's beauty among the beautiful girls of Rashid. Ali Al-Jarim tells us the story of this girl who was captivated by the days of her life because of the prophecy of the fortune teller who told her that her horoscope foretold that she would be the queen of Egypt. In order for this prophecy to be fulfilled, she married the French governor "Jacques François Menou" - who came to Rashid during the French occupation - because he possessed power and authority, and she closed the doors to the one who was killed by her love and her cousin "Mahmoud Al-Assal" who was known for his courage and struggle against the French occupation; but in her view, he was defenseless against the trappings of power that "Menou" enjoyed. But the twists of fate differ from the prophecies of men. The beautiful maiden sold her present glory and pure love for a barren hope. For it, she sold her homeland and her beloved, and replaced them with thrones adorned with the glitter of falsehood. She ended up losing her loved ones and friends, and woke up from her dream, which had become a mirage in the constitution of reality. She found that she had sold the purity of conscience and the honor of homelands for the sake of a general with a hardened heart, but who belonged to the human race.
