Mit Büchern hatte Ruth Rahlff schon früh zu tun: Sie sortierte die Wälzer ihres Vaters um, probierte sich als Verkaufstalent in der Buchhandlung ihres Onkels, ließ sich zur Verlagsbuchhändlerin ausbilden, arbeitete in einem sehr großen und einem sehr kleinen Verlag und ist nun freie Autorin und Lektorin. Dabei schlüpft sie auch gern in andere Identitäten. Sie schreibt Geschichten, Sach- und Spielbücher, Kinderromane, verfasst Texte für apps und gibt Workshops für Kinder im Vor- und Grundschulalter.
