This book aims to introduce prominent Arab philosophers and correct the common misconception that philosophy and its subjects are synonymous with obscure and ambiguous discourse, despite its being a powerful pillar of thought and a vital component of culture. The book begins by introducing Al-Kindi, the first Arab and Muslim philosopher to translate and transmit philosophical sciences from Greek into Arabic. He also had his own distinct intellectual and philosophical output, drawn from his extensive knowledge of the various sciences of his time. The book also briefly introduces the great philosopher Al-Farabi, the wise poet Al-Mutanabbi, whose verses expressed his philosophical ideas, and the great Arab physicist Ibn al-Haytham, often referred to as the Ptolemy of the Arabs. Finally, the book discusses Ibn Taymiyyah, the Sheikh of Islam, who refuted the arguments of philosophers, logicians, and proponents of the doctrine of the unity of existence after examining their books and works.
