Lawrence Block has been writing crime, mystery, and suspense fiction for over fifty years. He has published more than a hundred books and no end of short stories. He is best known for his series characters, including Matthew Scudder, Bernie Rhodenbarr, Evan Tanner, and Keller. Named a Grand Master by Mystery Writers of America, he is a multiple winner of the Edgar Allan Poe and Shamus awards, and recognition for his lifetime achievement includes the UK Crime Writers Association's Diamond Dagger.
