Produktbeschreibung
An unexpected Bonnie and Clyde with cults, male strippers, and a little bit of Neil Diamond by the author of Mr. & Mrs. American Pie Kit Holloway lives on the run and proudly teaches awful people the lessons they deserve by inciting unpredictable, untraceable chaos. When Kit recruits Chris Channing, the star stripper of La Maison du Sch'Long, to rob a slew of banks with her, all the secrets she has held on so tightly to make her lifestyle work come crashing down. As if exposing her links to a cult, getting involved with the Czech mob, and having the FBI breathing down her neck weren't enough, Kit, despite all her best efforts, starts to fall in love with Chris. And the truly unpredictable kicker, Chris loves her too. After successfully becoming their own twisted version of Bonnie and Clyde, Kit will have to decide: Will she settle down and make a home with this completely charming man or ditch it all to continue living anonymously and live the chaotic life that she has always dreamed of?
Autorenporträt
Juliet McDaniel came of age during a time when beauty pageants were rapidly becoming tacky relics of a far more sexist time, or so she thought. Although raised in Arizona, she spent twenty-five years living in Chicago, and knows its history and culture inside and out, so those places became a fitting home for her characters. Juliet has a BA in American Studies from Lake Forest College and a MA in Writing from DePaul University. She has had several screenplays optioned, and one produced: indie rom-com QWERTY, released in 2012. Mr. & Mrs. American Pie is her first novel.
