Shonda Rhimes is an award-winning creator, producer, the CEO of global media company, Shondaland, and New York Times best-selling author of Year of Yes. She is known for executive producing such TV series as Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, Inventing Anna, and more. As the founder of The Rhimes Foundation, Rhimes supports arts, education, and activism, serving on numerous nonprofit boards, including the American Film Institute, Lincoln Center, the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the Kennedy Center. In addition, Rhimes is on special committees for the USC Film Council and the Obama Foundation. A three-time inclusion on the Time 100 list of most influential people, she has been appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire and her work has been celebrated with numerous awards including induction into the Television Academy Hall of Fame.
