We are currently refreshing our shelves and this title is 70% off with promo code: Super70 Ask and Task is an innovative, highly interactive resource that brings genuine communication, critical thinking, and purposeful language practice into the ESL/EFL classroom. Built around photocopiable Question Cards and Task Cards for forty high-interest topics, the book invites learners to explore real-life issues, share personal opinions, negotiate meaning, and collaborate on creative projects. The blend of open-ended questions and hands-on tasks encourages students to move beyond short answers and into richer, more spontaneous communication. The Question Cards prompt students to examine ideas that matter--family, work, relationships, values, ambition, identity, culture, and personal choices. Discussions unfold naturally as students respond, explain their reasoning, and compare experiences. The Task Cards then extend the conversation into meaningful production: learners write résumés, design companies, plan events, brainstorm concepts, or create new products. These tasks are purposeful, engaging, and grounded in authentic communication. This dual structure supports all four language skills while giving teachers a ready-made system for generating full lessons with minimal preparation. Because each topic includes multiple cards and prompts, the resource is ideal for pair work, group projects, conversation circles, speaking assessments, or integrated-skills classes. Students take ownership of the learning process as they shift from discussing ideas to producing something tangible that reflects those ideas. Versatile, creative, and deeply communicative, Ask and Task fosters a classroom environment where learners talk more, think more, and work together--exactly what meaningful language learning requires. Features * Forty high-interest topics, each with multiple photocopiable Question Cards and a corresponding Task Card. * Question Cards that spark reflective, personal, and thought-provoking conversations. * Task Cards that guide students through real-world projects, creative problem-solving, and collaborative tasks. * Integrated-skills approach supporting speaking, listening, reading, writing, and critical thinking. * Ideal for pair work, small-group discussions, conversation classes, and project-based instruction. * Flexible activities suitable for intermediate to advanced learners. * Minimal teacher prep required--easy to adapt for short lessons or full-class projects. * Encourages learner autonomy, creativity, and meaningful interaction. Sample Materials * Download introduction, contents, and sample topics with both questions and tasks at https: //www.prolingualearning.com/ Similar Pro Lingua Learning Titles * Surveys for Conversation * In My Opinion * Conversation Inspirations * Real Life Stories for Interactive Telling and Listening
